While LeVert was undoubtedly the driving force of the team when able to play, I do still have one reservation about his game.

There were multiple times when it looked like he was trying to do way too much. It was like he knew how important he was to the Wolverines’ success, and I don’t know if it got to his head or if he was playing ahead of himself—but he looked out of control at some points.

You could tell there were times when the offense got into this really awkward flow because of the load LeVert was trying to carry by himself.

My hope is that some extended time off the court was able to give him a unique perspective of how things should be flowing together, and he’ll come into this season without that burden on his shoulders.

Other than that, I was a big fan of LeVert’s game.

He’s an improved ball handler and has more than enough length to drive and create on his own, even if he isn’t the beefiest guy on the floor.

We also got to see a very efficient perimeter game for the second straight season.

LeVert was on pace to shoot 140 three’s (he took 147 in 2013), and he was drilling them just over 40 percent of the time.

It goes without saying that LeVert is going to be a key piece for the Wolverines this season. He’s going to be that guy.
