Michigan Football vs. Michigan State: GBM Staff Predictions
JAY MEADE
Michigan: 17, Michigan State: 0, and here’s why…
I, on the other hand, like Michigan’s chances to pull out a fourth consecutive shut out. Michigan State’s defense is still strong enough to make a change but I have little faith in Connor Cook’s ability against a good/great rush. Michigan has been able to overcome all odds to this point and the defense has definitely reached the status of elite. This is by far the best defense Michigan has had, well, possibly in my lifetime. I am a huge believer in the run game at Michigan and I have no doubt De’Veon Smith will be able to snap his single game rushing record in this heated game. The Mark Dantonio years may be well behind us, and former Michigan running back Mike Hart’s statements will become true yet again. The Wolverines will prove to be not only the best, but the most dominant school in Michigan; possibly even the Big Ten. I’ve been drinking the Kool-Aid on Michigan this year and for good reason. It’s about time we take back the name and move on with tradition.
