The receivers might have been the sole shining light in the Utah game. This week, they played a more supporting role.

Rudock completed passes to nine different receivers in this game, with no individual catching more than four passes or surpassing 50 yards.

Amara Darboh and Jake Butt still look to be the top receiving options, combining for eight receptions and 75 of the team’s 180 receiving yards. Neither receiver looked as great as they did a week ago, but they didn’t need to. They did their jobs quietly and kept the chains moving.

Jehu Chesson had an up-and-down day. He had a beautiful block early in the game that helped a first down conversion and looked great when he had the ball. On the other hand, he also had a bad offensive pass interference call that killed a drive and failed to adjust properly to a nice throw early in the second half.

Ian Bunting looked nice with his two receptions. He should develop as a solid tight end under Harbaugh.

Drake Harris didn’t catch any balls last week, and he didn’t accomplish much in this game either. He had two receptions but zero yards. A.J. Williams had a catch for just over 20 yards.

Grant Perry was at least partially responsible for last week’s interception problems and did nothing of note here. He saw the field, but wasn’t a factor.
