13. Bill Davidson-

Many people may not know, but Bill Davidson attended Michigan in the early 40’s, and was on the track and field team. After graduating he ran his own company, and that success allowed him to get back into athletics. He purchased the Detroit Pistons in 1974 and owned them until his death in 2009. He was a tremendous owner, and the franchise won three NBA titles with Davidson at the helm. He also owned the Tampa Lightning from 1999-2007. In 2004, Davidson’s Pistons franchise won the NBA title and his Lightning franchise won the Stanley Cup.
