Michigan Football: Top 5 Fall Camp Position Battles

2. Running Back-
There are four running backs on the Michigan roster who could win the starting job. Derrick Green, De’Veon Smith, and Drake Johnson all started at various points last season, and USC transfer Ty Isaac may have the most potential out of all of them. Johnson is coming off an ACL injury so he likely won’t be at 100% to start fall camp, but the other three could all make a case to start week one. He may not last the entire season as the starter, but I actually see Smith getting the nod week one. He seemed to be the most consistent throughout spring practices, and had a nice run to start the spring game.
