Michigan Wolverine Football: Connor Brewer — Is he Possible

Connor Brewer who was the back-up quarterback at Arizona Wildcats under Rich Rodriguez was granted his release from the football program. Brewer spent his freshman season at Texas before transferring to the Arizona and had to sit out the 2013 football season due to NCAA transfer rules.

Connor could be another hot prospect for new Michigan Wolverine football head coach Jim Harbaugh if he wants to try and bring in a 5th year/ transfer prospect such as Connor Brewer or Kevin Hogan from Stanford like we talked about a couple of weeks ago.

Then we come to the real two issue just like we did with Kevin Hogan? Does he want to come to Michigan and would Michigan allow him in, can he find a field for post-graduate to get into that he doesn’t have at Arizona? Those are the biggest issues more than anything. The thing we have read about Brewer is that he will graduate in May and will still have two years of eligibility left which seems unheard of in this type of situation, but he graduated from high school early and jumped on classes early while going through spring football as a senior in high school.

Coach Jim Harbaugh has been looking for an additional quarterback for his roster with interested in Texas prospect along with incoming Alex Malzone who is already on campus getting ready for spring football along with Shane Morris, Wilton Speight, and Russell Bellomy on the roster as scholarship quarterbacks.

With Michigan can he get into a program this late and getting into a program that he wants to get into along with a program that Arizona doesn’t have. Also it hasn’t been cleared yet if Connor would have to sit out or be able to play right away by the NCAA especially knowing he has two years of eligibility left and knowing he will graduate in May.
