Michigan Wolverine Football: Brian Cole — Enrolled
Brian Cole is a 4-star recruit by the recruiting services and on almost every board has him listed as the #1 recruit in the state of Michigan.

Cole recently played in the Under Armour All-American game in Orlando (FL) at strong safety but it is unclear what position he will play at Michigan.
Just the other week, most people believed he would be on the offensive side of the ball at either slot or wide receiver, but he had an interview with a site that stated that he believed he would likely come in as a strong safety, but we guess that is why they allow recruits to enroll early and get adjusted to college and also find out what side of the ball you might want him on.

He stated it didn’t matter to him what side of the ball he preferred, but we are betting whichever one gets him on the field faster. If the coaches decide to try and get faster at the linebacker position with moving one or two safeties we would believe that Cole would be tried at safety first, but if nobody moves we would like to see him on the offensive side of the ball because he could be a weapon.
Really on either side of the ball he would likely see some playing time his freshman year especially coming in early, but possibly more time at receiver where he has that burst that others on the team don’t currently have or not as much.
Michigan fans should be happy with the news of both Cole and Malzone both stuck with their Michigan commitment and enrolled early for spring football along with getting a jump start on their academic classes.
Both could be big players in this football season depending on how spring football goes along with how other players develop and respond to the new coaching staff.
Everybody will be on a equal playing field with new coaches coming in and everybody will get a shot to show what they are able to do.
