• Series History: Tonight’s game will be the first of two meetings as the Wolverines and Badgers have a return game scheduled at Crisler Center on Feb. 16. Overall, U-M has a 90-66 all-time mark against Wisconsin. The Wolverines have lost their last two and have dropped 11 straight games in Madison. The Wolverines have won just once in the Kohl Center, a 51-39 victory on Feb. 27, 1999.

• Wisconsin, which ranks third in the country in both polls, suffered its first loss of the season with a 75-72 defeat at Indiana (Jan. 14) and is now 16-1 overall. The Badgers’ 16-0 start was the best in program history.
• Wisconsin is 10-0 at the Kohl Center this season. During Bo Ryan’s 13-year tenure, Wisconsin has gone 191-18 with a 93-11 Big Ten mark in home games.
• Wisconsin is led by sophomore Sam Dekker, who leads the Badgers with 14.0 points and 6.1 rebounds per game. The Badgers have four total players scoring in double figures: Dekker, Frank Kaminsky (13.5), Ben Brust (13.1) and Traevon Jackson (11.4).

• Derrick Walton Jr. had a career-best 16 points against Penn State after going 6-for-9 from the field with two long-range buckets. In Big Ten play, he is averaging 11.0 points and 3.0 assists per game while shooting 56.5 percent from the field.
• Caris LeVert has tied a career best with five assists in back-to-back games. This season, he has tied the career mark on four occasions, and he has accomplished the feat five total times.
• With Mitch McGary out indefinitely, Jordan Morgan moved into the starting role and has responded, shooting a Big Ten-best 82.4 percent (14-for-17) from the field while averaging 8.5 points and 4.0 rebounds. Fellow U-M big man Jon Horford has mirrored Morgan as Horford has averaged 8.5 points and 6.3 rebounds and shot 66.7 percent (14-for-21) in conference play.
