The media loves big conference tournaments. Tournaments provide plenty of easy news and stories that generate excitement and increased readership. The big conferences love tournaments. This is an easy recipe for revenue and national exposure. Some coaches love conference tournaments. This may be the only means a team has to make the tournament.

Michigan Basketball: 2013 Big Ten Tournament Bracket

Ironic as it is Michigan will face Penn State in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament starting on Thursday.

Will the Indiana game be a let down for the Michigan basketball team or will they remember that many goals are still in front of them along with the loss that Penn State gave Michigan just a couple of weeks ago.
