Michigan Football voluntary workouts are in full session with strength and conditioning Coach Wellman and company.

Position training by seniors, offensive linemen led by Michael Schofield, Taylor Lewan, and Erik Gunderson. Very intense “Voluntary” instructors with chips on their shoulders. They have the task of bringing in the offensive linemen more than ready for Fall camp. Three of the starting offensive linemen are living together. That’s how committed they are.

This year the second game of the year is Notre Dame and is already getting huge hype and these kids know it, they know what needs to be done in a short time because they are serving up Chicken to eat that night. The chefs are preparing it now.

Most kids will stay all summer only going home for a day here or there. Its intense, it tough, its leadership and most of all “Its Michigan kind of training for gods sake”.

From high school recruiting and dealing with programs from every Conference, three trips to Notre Dame and talking with “Big” Charlie, to meeting Michigan Defensive coordinator at the time Scot Shafer (who is currently the Syracuse Coach) and getting an offer from Michigan.
