Michigan Wolverine Football: Spring Report
Only one real scrimmage although they have had some structured type hitting and this Saturday will tell us much more.
But my early fall practice:
1) Maurice Hurst (DL)
Right now, I think he has a big chance of starting. He just seems to make the most impact when he is in the game. Very quick first step.
3) Channing Stribling (CB)
I know he is not considered in the top three (although Blake Countess has been dinged up). But my observation is he has been our second best cornerback this spring behind Jourdan Lewis.
Jabrill Peppers has been taking some snaps at cornerback.
4) Joe Bolden (LB)
Although only Jake Ryan has been named as starter, would be shocked if Bolden does not start.
He may now, after our scrimmage be our number one back.
6) Jeremy Clark (S)
Although right now, I think Dymonte Thomas has the edge, who would of predicted Clark would even be in the mix.
7) Henry Poggi (DL)
Last spring it was Brennan Beyer and Taco Charlton and then a huge gap, that gap is now closed.
8) Chris Fox (OL)
Not close to starting, but he is coming on.
9) Ian Bunting (TE)
Another player who I think red-shirts, but has had some good moments in fall.
10) Shane Morris (QB)
I put him here because he has separated from Wilton Speight.
