Thomas Rawls has officially transferred into the Central Michigan football program which has been rumored for quite some time that he would likely stay in-state along with attending Central Michigan. He suited up against Central in 2013 and now will play for them in 2014.In a release, Central Michigan announced that Thomas Rawls has transferred into the football program. Rawls’ addition adds to what’s already a talented group at the position.
“We are looking forward to Thomas joining our program and helping us compete for a championship.” head coach Dan Enos said in a statement. “He is a hard working, talented player who will bring depth and leadership to our running backs unit. I feel like we have one of the deepest groups of running backs in the Mid-American Conference.”
Rawls has already graduated from Michigan, meaning he’s eligible to play immediately in 2014.
A three-star member of the Wolverines’ 2011 recruiting class, Rawls was rated as the No. 19 player at any position in the state of Michigan for that cycle. During his three seasons in Ann Arbor, Rawls appeared in 27 games and rushed for 333 yards and five touchdowns on 73 carries.
