Michigan Football: Spring Football — Chat Notes — Tight Ends
We are going to share some notes from our past chats. Not all the information will be available, but we will share some of our past Michigan football spring chat reports.
They have played lots of too tight end sets, it’s Keith Heitzman (#92) and A.J. Williams (#84) also with running back and full-back.
Heitzman has been a very nice surprise, can block, catches when asked. Think the move is very good for him especially the depth we have now on the defensive line.A.J. Williams he looks great. He is big, but also looks a lot quicker, makes good blocks and is starting to be somewhat of a threat in passing game. Now he isn’t going to be a Devin Funchess (#87) type of weapon or for that matter a Jake Butt (#88) tight end, but think he can be effective this season and keep the defense honest when he is in the game and not solely key on a running play like most did last year when he was in the game.
One particular play in the big scrimmage, A.J. caught a touchdown, a short one, but he did a great job on the play.
