Michigan Football: Three Things To Watch For With Defense

There are three things to watch for in my opinion with regards to the defense this fall.

#1) Are we better at stopping the run. If the answer is yes, that alone will make a huge difference. You have to stop the run first.

#2) Do we give up less big plays. The number of plays allowed of 20 plus yards was frightening last season. You will never beat good teams giving up all those big plays.

#3) Do our overhangs, safeties and outside linebackers play better in space. Michigan has been killed by teams that attacked the perimeter. If we continue to lose proper leverage it will be a long season once again this year.
