Michigan Football: Couple of Quick “Positive” Thoughts

And these are positive for a change:

1) Recruiting season for 2015 has started and for the first time in almost seven years I cannot see how any incoming player in this years class will make the two-deep next year. To me this is the best sign that the Michigan Football program is becoming much more stable and will become much more consistent in years to come. We simply need our players to have time to adjust to college and develop.

2) Speaking of Recruiting I would like to see Michigan take two quarterback’s in this class, including Alex Malzone out of Brother Rice. I believe we are still lacking depth at that position.

3) I forgot to mention Wyatt Shallman (#33) as being another sleeper to watch. He has been taking snaps at both H-back and Running back in spring, but with our lack of depth at tight end and Coach Nussmeier history of using players like Shallman, he is one to keep an eye on. He is a big, athletic kid and may be completely healthy for the first time in almost three years.

4) Just shorts and pads so far, but I don’t know if I mentioned that Mario Ojemudia (#53) looks much quicker than a year ago. I still think he had some nagging injury, we will watch and see how he does in scrimmages.
