Michigan Football: Couple of Quick Notes/Tidbits

1) One thing is quite obvious, although very early in spring practice, the pace of practice is “double time” compared to the past few years. When RR was coach, his practices were crazy in terms of pace especially the offense getting to the ball. When Borges was around (as most may remember) I quite frequently complained about how slow practice sessions were and how Borges preferred to do most of his “teaching” in the film room.

Doug NussmeierCoach Nussmeier is not quite (RR like) when it comes to pace, but it is close and the players (at least initially) seemed to have responded well.

2) Coach Nuss is going to be a head coach somewhere, lets just hope it is not for a couple years.

3) Patrick Kugler is taking snaps at offensive center and (although don’t read anything into this) took some snaps with the first group.

4) My new sleeper for 2014 (Matthew Godin). Kid looks real good physically and with new defensive alignment, I think he gets a real shot.

Couple of weeks off, but reports should be more specific in later weeks this March.
