Michigan Football Recruiting: Shaun Crawford — 2015 Wolverine Commit — SPARQ

Nike Football has started their SPARQ combines at Massillon, Ohio this weekend.

Michigan 2015 commit from Lakewood, Ohio (St. Edward high school) did quite well on Saturday getting a invitation to “The Opening” where he will travel to Nike headquarters and compete amongst the best in the country that partake on the SPARQ combines that are held at many locations throughout the United States.

Shaun Crawford 3Shaun Crawford ran a 4.50 forty yard dash, a 4.03 shuttle, and a 36.6 vertical. He had a combined total of 113.55 SPARQ rating which last year he had a 90.o rating so it clearly shows that players can get better with training, getting birthdays under them, and also knowing what to expect just like on the football field as well.

Remember as well this probably wasn’t the easiest thing for him or others in the are to prepare for with the weather conditions that the Midwest has had lately so trying to find a gym or a indoor practice facility is the only option for players to train for this type of event.

Shaun Crawford 4Many believe the 4-star cornerback maybe the best recruit coming out of Ohio this coming recruiting class. Time will tell along with another football season to go, but Michigan got a pretty good one in Crawford right under Urban Meyer’s nose.

Crawford admitted about looking at other programs at one time, but reaffirmed with Michigan along with taking an active role in recruiting with saying “I’m definitely going to be doing some recruiting and I’m going to try to get the best players I possibly can to join me at Michigan.”

As of right now, Michigan has four commits with Crawford (CB), Andrew David (K), Jon Runyan (OL), and Tyree Kinnel (CB). Runyan from Pennsylvania is the only recruit not from Ohio so far in this 2015 recruiting class for Michigan.

GBMWolverine will be doing our profiles on the 2015 commits as soon as we get done with our 2014 time capsules so check those out as well because we believe they are the best on the net!
