Michigan Football: Clinic Notes — Coach Nussmeier
I found some clinic notes from Michigan’s new offensive coordinator and thought I would share.
1.) At both clinics he talked about using the entire field. As in making defenses defend every inch. Talked about doing this is in a few different ways.
b. Play Calling
3.) Talked about being physical on offense, taking the fight to the defense.
4.) Importance of a vertical passing game. Best method of keeping defenses honest.
5.) Sound Quarterback play. This of course is Coach Nussmeier’s specialty. (IMO) this will be his biggest impact, teaching the Quarterback’s. No disrespect to Coach Borges. Quarterback has to better if Michigan is going to improve.
6. Talked some about playing at different tempos.
Those are the highlights. he talked a lot about QB play and fundamentals. Nothing unusual, just sound basic fundamentals.
