Something tells me the scalpers and Brandon’s new scalper price gashing gig may take a beating on Saturday. See Freddy Versus Jason column. This game may not be for the purist or the faint of heart. Throwing in some garlic and skunk cabbage the prediction becomes:

Nebraska 24
Michigan 34

The good news Michigan is playing at home, but the bad news is Michigan is playing for pride and not for the chance to win the division with today’s game. To many thing must happen for that to change and with MSU’s schedule don’t look for that to happen.

Michigan needs to get out of this funk and get back to basics in terms of leadership, playing with some confidence, and playing for themselves. This team has lost a lot of the course of this season and starts with leadership and execution.

In this game today I believe Michigan will come out and play expiring football because once in awhile you need to look yourself in the mirror and say “have I given it my all” and if you cannot say that in the mirror you might want to put the helmet back in the locker and allow somebody else a chance that will today.

Which team can get the running game going? Both teams are very similar as far as stats go.

which team will come out and play with some passion and inspire their team to victory.

Nebraska 20
Michigan 34

October 13, 2012; Ann Arbor, MI, USA; Michigan Wolverines defensive end Mario Ojemudia (53) receives congratulations from defensive tackle Jibreel Black (55) after sacking Illinois Fighting Illini quarterback Reilly OWerlsWolverine:

Teams are very similar, but what team will show up this day is the biggest question?

Nebraska coaches are feeling it along with their players about their coaches being in hot water.

Both Michigan and Nebraska are both programs that they thought would be competing for the division crown and facing Ohio State for the Big Ten Championship, but with that disappointment mainly gone what team will strap it on today and take care of business.

I believe Michigan will get back to business and take care of business. Some believe it will be a close game and probably will be, but I am looking at more of a 2011 type of game than say last years debacle when Denard Robinson went down.

Nebraska 17
Michigan 32

Nov 2, 2013; East Lansing, MI, USA; Michigan Wolverines quarterback Devin Gardner (98) warms up before the game against the Michigan State Spartans at Spartan Stadium. The Spartans beat the Wolverines 29-6. Mandatory Credit: Raj Mehta-USA TODAY SportsYostMeister

The Wolverines and Cornhuskers actually mirror each other… a smattering of talent on both sides of the ball, but hair pulling inconsistency when measured against their foes.

Michigan’s biggest asset is their home field advantage which seems to make a difference against like talented teams.

Otherwise, the O-line problems will not go away, nor the risk of injury for Devin Gardner. The defense, though maligned, finally makes key stops.

In the end, Michigan survives a game they should win easily,

Nebraska 24
Michigan 27
