The University of Michigan Athletic Department announced Thursday (Oct. 17) a two-game series with the UCLA Bruins scheduled for the 2022 and 2023 football seasons. This will be the Wolverines’ first home-and-home series with a Pacific-12 Conference school since the early 2000s (Washington, 2001 and 2002; Oregon, 2003 and 2007).The Bruins will travel to Michigan Stadium on Sept. 10, 2022, and the Wolverines will make the return trip to the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif., on Sept. 2, 2023.
These will be the 12th and 13th meetings between the two schools. Michigan holds an 8-3 edge in the all-time series, including a 5-1 mark at Michigan Stadium and a 2-1 record at UCLA (Rose Bowl). The two schools split a pair of bowl games against each other, with the Wolverines claiming a 33-14 victory in the 1981 Bluebonnet Bowl and the Bruins earning a 24-14 win in the 1983 Rose Bowl.
