Michigan Football Recruiting: Lawrence Marshall Goes Blue who was a one time Buckeye Commit
Michigan fans just months ago was all worried about the Michigan coaches getting behind in recruiting the 2014 class. Well this is why you shouldn’t worry so much. These coaches have shown they have what it takes to keep recruiting hard year after year.
Lawrence Marshall a one-time commit for Ohio State Buckeyes for what seemed like a minute has pulled the trigger for the Michigan Wolverines this time.
Lawrence Marshall of Southfield High in Michigan, committed to Michigan on Saturday.
Marshall had committed to Ohio State in February, then de-committed two days later. His commitment increases U-M’s total to nine for the class of 2014.
Recruiting rankings had him as a 4-star on 24/7, 4-star on ESPN, 3-star on Rivals, and 4-star on Scout.
Michigan with such a small class for 2014 will not likely be that high in the team rankings since most recruiting sites look at numbers, but Michigan fans shouldn’t worry because it looks to us that Michigan has elite level type talent coming in this class.
Have to remember as well with nine commits already, a small class that it appears, Michigan is still in on a lot of big time talent. Such as Jabrill Peppers (CB), Da’Shawn Hand (DL), Malik McDowell (DL), Alex Bars (OL), Parker Westphal (CB) just to name a few names on the coaches target list.
Stay tuned to GBMWolverine as we have Marshall’s profile coming up shortly.
