Michigan Football: Coach’s Corner — Lets Talk Football — Recruiting And Expectations
#1 props to Coach Hoke and staff!
They have busted their asses and put together two solid classes in a row.
The addition of Green is basically the cherry on top of needed infusion of talented football players.
Now I must ask a favor of my Blue Brothers, show some patience and use some common sense with these young men.
Yes they are talented, but just because they don’t become all conference as freshmen does not mean they are busts. Some kids just take a bit longer to develop or mature. This Site/Message Board is pretty good with this, but still have to have my say.
If Green does not become #1 or run for 1,000 yards remember he is just a rookie, and maybe his presence convinced some one like a talented Mr. Rawls to bust his hump and to show the coaches it is his position and he will not give it up without a fight.
A few years ago I had true blue chip kid, won awards at Michigan camp and was highly recruited. Did not go to Michigan despite my influence, LOL.
His first year he got injured and didn’t even see the field until his Junior year. Well the fans started calling him a bust, over rated etc… He almost left, he started his last two seasons and played seven years for the Redskins.
There Are No Guarantees in Recruiting and patience can be tough, but necessary!
