GBMWolverine: Michigan Football — Michigan at Iowa — Predictions
After reading our predictions for the Iowa game come to our message board and make your prediction and comment on what you believe will happen Saturday.
CoachBT:
On paper UM should win handily.
Iowa coming off big loss and UM a dominating win.
To bad football games are not played on paper.
Iowa uses TEs and RBs in passing game as well as any team in the conference, something UM hs had problems with last few years. Team that keeps everything in front in passing game wins. UM wins a close one, closer than most think.

Doc4Blu:
Big game on Saturday for many reasons- see the preview.
Concerns- stopping the running game of Iowa, getting Iowa off the field, figuring out the tight end can win the game for Iowa, play action game. The health and performance of the offensive line is a serious concern.
Feel goods- defensive preparation should be good, Iowa is no mystery, Michigan team speed. Iowa can give up yardage on the ground.
The difference may be: simple- home field advantage.
Expectations- mid-level scoring game. Um to play with good poise, Um needs to survive physically.
Hope that I am wrong-

Michigan should win this game, but once again it is very tough to go on the road in the Big Ten conference when a lot of teams are equal.
I am hoping the players aren’t doing what Iowa thought last weekend where they could just show up and win the football game. That was a disaster last weekend for Iowa and pretty sure we won’t see that same type of performance from them this Saturday on their own field.
Weather could be an issue again with possible windy conditions. How will that effect both teams.
Michigan clearly needs to stop Iowa’s running game and if they can do that they win the game easily.
Iowa will stack the box like everybody has tried to do with limited success this season.
I think Michigan wins pretty convincingly in the second half and should be a good day for both the offense and defense.

Yostmeister:
I like Michigan in this one because:
1. The run game has improved
2. I believe the defense can slow Iowa’s Coker enough and stop their play action
3. Denard is due for a break out game
